FormatLab is a trade name of WB Consultancy and Development BV, registered at Zwanebloemlaan 49, 1087EP Amsterdam, Chamber of Commerce number 42084516.

• Platform: the FormatLab web application.
• User: any person who creates an account on the Platform.
• Subscription: paid or free access to the Platform as described in the chosen plan.
• Content: all texts, analyses, ideas and other output generated via the Platform.

These terms and conditions apply to all agreements between FormatLab and the User. By creating an account or using the Platform, the User accepts these terms. FormatLab reserves the right to amend these terms. Changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email.

FormatLab offers an AI-powered platform for the development of television formats and pitches. The following subscription plans are available:

FormatLab reserves the right to modify the Platform, add or remove features.

The User is required to provide accurate and complete information upon registration. The User is responsible for the security of their login credentials and all activities carried out via their account. FormatLab may suspend or terminate accounts in case of suspected misuse or violation of these terms.

Payments are processed via Stripe. By activating a paid subscription, the User authorises FormatLab to charge recurring payments automatically. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. In case of non-payment, FormatLab reserves the right to restrict or terminate access.

The User may cancel a subscription at any time via the customer portal ("Manage subscription"). After cancellation, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for amounts already paid, unless required by law.

The User has the right to withdraw from a distance agreement within 14 days of conclusion at no cost (right of withdrawal), provided the Platform has not yet been used.

The User may only use the Platform for lawful purposes. It is not permitted to use the Platform to generate content that infringes intellectual property rights of third parties, to circumvent technical restrictions, or for automated use without written permission.

The User is solely responsible for the use of generated content, including verifying accuracy and potential copyright issues.

The software, Platform, FormatLab brand and all associated materials are the property of FormatLab. Content generated by the Platform belongs to the User, insofar as it derives from input provided by the User. FormatLab makes no claim to User-generated content.

The User remains solely responsible for any infringement of the copyright or intellectual property rights of third parties.

FormatLab uses multiple AI models. The analyses and suggestions generated by FormatLab are based on the public knowledge base on which these models were trained and recent online publications — including existing TV formats, industry publications and other publicly available sources.

FormatLab deliberately identifies similar existing formats to help Users stay sharp. It is the User's responsibility to assess whether developed ideas are sufficiently original. FormatLab is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or usability of AI-generated content.

FormatLab is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profits or data loss, unless caused by intent or gross negligence. FormatLab's liability is in all cases limited to the amount the User has paid in the three months preceding the damaging event, with a maximum of €500.

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
